Injuries are the last thing any sportsperson would imagine. The never-ending struggle to be in top physical shape is a necessary part of being an athlete. Sadly, the battle against injuries has taken an unusual turn for a colleague of Cristiano Ronaldo. The player’s experience with fitness had become so bad that he went to a witch doctor for advice. Mainly to overcome the purported curse that has plagued his career.

The 26-year-old midfielder is actively searching for solutions to address the ongoing physical problems that have kept him out of action in the past few months. The frustration has grown so much that, Renato Sanches has chosen to consult a witch doctor to explore the possibility of external influences affecting his condition. “I don’t know, maybe I’m cursed”, commented the player, as reported by La Repubblica. Notably, after his loan move to AS Roma from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, he struggled to mark a mark on Jose Mourinho’s squad.

He has made just seven starts and has just one goal in his account. Despite efforts from both PSG and Roma’s medical teams, the issues impacting the Portuguese international remain unresolved. However, according to reports, the meeting with the witch doctor produced no concrete effects, suggesting that Sanches’ problems might be more psychological than physical. In fact, the midfielder’s domestic coach, Jose Mourinho, also revealed that it’s difficult to understand his injury.

While insisting the player needs rhythm and intensity to play, the tactician said, “Renato is always at risk. It’s difficult to understand: Bayern didn’t understand him, PSG didn’t understand him and we have difficulties”, as compiled by DailyMail.
