What was said about Ryan Reynolds?
During the award show, a small segment was dedicated to the new docu-series Welcome to Wrexham’. Fellow Co-owner McElhenney was called on stage to say a few words about Reynolds and their journey.
In what turned out to be a teary-eyed speech, he said, “I have spent the last two years with him on this wild journey. The one that we are very quickly realizing is probably not going to end soon. There’s no wrap date, there’s no closing night. There’s a strong chance that we’re in this thing together for the rest of our lives”.

Reynolds recently revealed that he told his wife Blake Lively about Wrexham only after he had taken over the club. The Deadpool star never wanted to buy a glamorous soccer club with all the media attention.
He had always wanted to purchase a soccer team with a rich soccer heritage. No doubt, they made the right choice. Wrexham A.F.C. is recognized as the third oldest professional soccer club in soccer history.
