In an interview with the Fellas, the English goalie was speaking about the promotion experience. He then revealed that he had major plans for the game against Notts County. With the help of his GoPro, Foster would shoot the entire game. He would place the GoPro inside the goal. Anyhow, he raised an issue about a certain set of white batteries.

He mentioned that he has faced dreadful instances with them in the past. And one of them was against Notts County itself. Foster mentioned that he was recording the footage at 2.7K. With an average recording time of 55 minutes, he needed to change the batteries at halftime. But even after doing so, his GoPro still died.

He said, “For some reason, about three minutes into the second half, the video just went cut, gone. Factory dead goneski”. Foster then turned behind and a red light flashed from the device. At that moment, he knew it was over. Undoubtedly, he couldn’t have changed the battery during the game too.

The Englishman continued, “I just kind of forgot about it and anyways we got to like the last few minutes and I looked again. Still no flashing. I’m thinking about it’s gone like the thing’s gone. Then they get the penalty and the GoPro was in that corner where he put the penalty”.

However, the goalie didn’t grieve too much about it. Foster concluded by saying, “What a shame, mate, honestly one of the biggest moments in my football career. I could have had it on the GoPro, just missed”. Now, let’s dive deeper into the same game. What actually happened against Notts County?

Foster was a vital part of Wrexham’s success!

With just five games left in the season, Ryan Reynolds and his team couldn’t afford to drop more points. At that point, any lapse in concentration could cost them the automatic promotion. The Welsh soccer club was hosting their title rivals, Notts County. But the Red Devils did not start the game well at all.

At halftime, Reynolds’ team was trailing 1-0. However, things took a turn in the second half. Goals from Paul Mullin, Jacob Mendy, and Elliot Lee ensured that they had a healthy lead. Amid the downpour of goals, they conceded again. For the last twelve minutes of regular time, Wrexham defended a one-goal lead.

Shockingly, they concede a penalty in the 90 + 7 minute of the game. And to everyone’s surprise, Ben Foster came to the rescue as he managed to save the penalty. With their hearts in their mouth, the fans went berserk after the Red Devils managed to snatch all three points from that game.
