Simon Jordan, former Crystal Palace chairman, in an interview, compared Manchester City and Real Madrid to Red Bull and Ferrari. He got into the details of the issue to make his point clear. The conclusion of his statement came across as a shock to the fans.

Simon Jordan in his interview with talkSPORT shares his opinion as he gives the examples of Red Bull and Ferrari, he said, “The question is this I maintain the view that there are Ferraris in this world and there are Red Bulls and Manchester City achievements are remarkable but their imagery in the minds of players is still in the Red Bull territory.”

Jordan was further asked if he thinks winning the UCL three consecutive times like Real Madrid will allow them to join the Ferrari territory. To this Jordan replied, “The only thing that’s going to arrest Manchester City is when Guardiola decides that he’s no longer going to manage that football club because at this moment in time, where they are, and so they should be, they’ve got the best manager in World soccer, they’ve got the best center forward in World soccer, they’ve got the most money in World soccer“.

To secure their star player, City is doing what’s logical. They are extending Haaland’s contract. And should this happen, it will be a big blow for La Liga giants Real Madrid.

This move underscores City’s commitment to both Haaland’s development and their long-term competitive aspirations in European football.
