After winning the Scudetto last season, Napoli seems to have lost form this season. Their coach, Luciano Spalletti, left the soccer club to take a break following the triumph. With Rudi Garcia in charge, they lie seventh on the table after a subpar start. But, a bizarre incident came up on the team, with the club’s official TikTok page mocking their star striker, Victor Osimhen. The Napoli striker could probably take legal action against his own club. It forced British broadcaster Piers Morgan to name his next destination.

The club’s TikTok page featured a clip of the striker’s penalty miss from their match against Bologna on Sunday, along with an odd, sped-up voice in the background. Strangely enough, the club deleted the video later as the striker’s agent explained the situation.

After the news broke out, his agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a formal statement regarding the matter. He mentioned, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.” Thus, the striker could probably take legal action against the club.

The agent continued, “A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”

Will Osimhen make Arsenal better?

In terms of quality, they are on par with Europe’s finest. But Arsenal is still short of a proper goalscorer. While Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are pressing forward, Osimhen gives them a better option as a forward in terms of goal output. Last season, Jesus scored 11 goals in 33 games but missed a chunk of the season because of a knee injury. In came Nketiah to replace the forward, who scored nine goals in 39 games. With their rivals Manchester City having Haaland, who scored 52 goals, it is not easy to challenge the Citizens for a league title push.

Victor Osimhen is a striker who promises those goals. In his historic last season with Napoli, he scored 31 goals in 39 games and proved a threat up front. His incredible off-the-ball movement followed by precise and gritty finishing makes him a superstar. To sum up, Arsenal can use a striker like Osimhen now, as his future with Napoli is in doubt! Do you think Arsenal should sign him?
