Brazil started its FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with a 2-0 win against Serbia. The first half ended scoreless, with both teams struggling to find the net. However, Brazil bounced back in the second half with two impressive goals from Richarlison. The Tottenham forward opened the scoring for Brazil in the 62nd minute. It was a well-worked team goal from the Selecao. However, Richarlison’s second goal stole the show. It was a pure work of art.

Richarlison’s 2nd goal was an insane bicycle volley from inside the box. Vinicius Jr. was involved in the 2nd goal as well as he crossed the ball to Richarlison, who in turn took a touch and volleyed it home for Brazil’s second.

Following are some of the best reactions to the goal:

Richarlison was rather quiet in the first half as both teams headed to the tunnel scoreless. However, he proved to everyone why Tite has preferred him in the starting lineup. This goal surely will go on to contend for the Goal of the Tournament award.

Richarlison started as the number 9 for Brazil ahead of Raphinha, Neymar, and Vinicius trio. Meanwhile, Brazil attempted a total of 22 shots of which 8 hit on the target. Serbia, on the other hand, failed to hit a single shot on target. Alisson didn’t have much work to do from behind as the Serbian attack failed to test him.

Brazil will play its last group game against Cameroon next month. However, coach Tite would want them to enter the final group game in a winning form and qualify for the knockouts in style.
