But Timothy isn’t just a talented soccer player; he’s also the son of Liberia’s president, George Weah.

George Weah was also a big name in the soccer world in the 90s. And In 2018, George Weah took up the role of president. However, in 2019, due to a very peculiar reason he was forced to stay away from his office.

Why George Weah was forced away from the office

President George Weah was told to stay away from the Foreign Affairs building because of two snakes that were found in his office. The president was forced to work from home until the snake problem was handled.

Tim Weah following in the footsteps of his father

George Weah was a phenomenal soccer player. His scoring abilities made him a very prominent striker. He is often considered one of the best African players of all time and his accolades back those claims up. In 1995 George won the FIFA World Player of the year and the Ballon d’Or in the same year. He helped Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan win league titles with his performance.

Tim Weah his son looks to be following in his father’s footsteps. The 22year old is still young and has a lot of roads to cover but he has already shown that he is one promising talent. Having won the French League in the 2020 season and also showed an excellent performance in the Qatar World Cup.

The young man has definitely inherited his father’s talents. And he is looking to make a name for himself in the world of soccer. Only time will tell if Tim Weah can live up to the hype and expectations but he definitely has the potential to be a great player.
