After an amazing performance on the group stage, USMNT lost to the Netherlands in their round of 16 matches 3-1. Fans were expecting more from the team and their World Cup came to an end after the defeat. The defense that looked strong in the group stage after stopping England from scoring a goal was looking weak in the elimination match. Now, the team has returned to the USA and players have gone for a break. But Christian Pulisic, however, has made it to the crosshair of animal activists.

An old video of Pulisic has resurfaced, which made him the target. The video is from 2021 when he was on a break and was enjoying a vacation on a boat. The 23-year-old posted the video on Instagram captioning, “Life flashed in front of my eyes. What a day on the water.“

A viral video of Christian Pulisic drew a lot of criticism

In the video posted by Pulsic in 2021, when he was enjoying a break. One of his friends held a goliath grouper by the fish hook just beside the boat. While Pulsic sat on the edge just above the fish and flaunt his soccer skills. 

Christian Pulisic somehow slipped, and the fish appeared to be terrified. Other than Pulisic himself, Chelsea star Marcos Alonso and Thiago Silva find the event funny and appeared to be laughing.

In their group stage USA only gave away 1 goal and scored 2. However, their tournament came to an end after their defeat against the Netherlands.

On a further note, Argentina also qualified for the next round by defeating Australia 2-1. The match was his 1000th career match of Lionel Messi, in which he scored his first-ever World Cup knockout stage goal. He also surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo in most players of the match after winning the prize for Arg vs Aus.
