Ryan Reynolds has recently been in the public eye. The Canadian actor has always been a football lover. In the documentary Welcome to Wrexham, Reynolds revealed his passion for American football. The Deadpool star’s name has recently echoed in many sports. The Hollywood star is also reportedly planning to take over an NHL team in the near future.

The BC Lions are a football club in Vancouver. They currently compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League. A few hours back, BC Lions decided to go down memory lane. The Canadian football club reposted the Hollywood duo’s picture back from 2022 on an Instagram story. They called it Flashback Friday too. They also appreciated Will Ferrell’s attire. The club wrote, “Our all-time favourite #SuperBowl look”. Ryan Reynolds acknowledged the same by reposting it on his Instagram story.

Ryan Reynolds had initially poked fun at Will Ferrell last year. He had posted that same picture with Will Ferrell and he wrote, “Will keeps asking me why there’s a fourth down. However, the fans appreciated BC Lions’ effort to keep those happy memories alive even a year later.

Last year, the Canadian football side also took a sneaky dig at the Deadpool star after he posted the picture initially. BC Lions’ official Twitter handle wrote, “We always knew Will Ferrell had great taste – gotta up your game @VancityReynolds”. The fun banter between the Hollywood stars and the football club was an absolute delight to watch.

Ryan Reynolds was shooting a set of ad commercials with his beloved Wrexham AFC. He started off the shoot, and said, “Guys we’re a professional soccer club”. The Deadpool star jokingly restressed on the word soccer again and ended up laughing even harder. He basically was referring to the fact that people outside America called the sport ‘football’ and not soccer. Many fans from around the world find it extremely insulting to the game’s legacy.

While Reynolds was laughing, he continued, “I’m going to get stabbed for that”. Even the crew could be heard having a chuckle in between that scene. However, the Canadian actor has brought loads of goodness to the Welsh soccer side. From monetary gains in terms of better broadcasting to global recognition, the Deadpool star has garnered it all at Wrexham AFC.
