In recent years, sports in the US have witnessed a tremendous boom. The county has established itself as one of the best and has been a leader in many sports. In fact, this has even led to a surge of athletes within the country, especially when it comes to women athletes. The likes of Serena Williams, Alex Morgan, and Sue Bird have inspired millions of teenage girls to follow their dreams.
The aforementioned icons have also garnered a lot of fame and success and made their nation proud. Fans are slowly starting to follow women’s sports and athletes in greater numbers. Now it seems another female athlete is set to rule the world after her name recently made headlines. This even got her appreciation from USWNT star Morgan.

Alex Morgan hails a young golfer
Golf in America has been quite famous, and it seems it is set to receive a rising star. An athlete from Texas A&M University has recently written her name in the history books. Zoe Slaughter has led her college team to glory after achieving a historical feat. She became the first African American player in Texas A&M women’s golf history. Her putt for par on the third playoff hole won her team the SEC title.

This has caught the eye of Waves forward Morgan who didn’t hold herself back from appreciating the youngster’s efforts. Recently, the USWNT shared a social media post that was added by her own company, Togethxr. She wrote a heartfelt caption for Slaughter, “Things we love to see.”

It is indeed a heartwarming message from Morgan, and Slaughter must be on cloud nine to receive such appreciation from the USWNT star. Slaughter has made quite a name for herself, as she has also previously won many accolades and tournaments. Either way, Morgan will be happy to see another star emerge, but she must be sad after enduring a poor loss in the NWSL.
Morgan suffers an enormous blow in NWSL

The following appreciation came after Morgan and her team endured a tough loss in the NWSL. The San Diego Waves traveled to Lumin Field in an attempt to clinch three points against the OL Reign. However, Casey Stoney’s side suffered a narrow 0-1 loss.

Both sides were on the verge of settling for a draw. However, Megan Rapinoe’s teammate, Olivia Van der Jagt, clinched a victory in injury time. It was indeed a shocking loss for Morgan, who returned to their home with their heads down. Either way, they’ll be looking to bounce back from the tough loss and get themselves back on track.
