It has been over two years since Ryan Reynolds became the proud owner of the Welsh soccer club Wrexham AFC, and in that time, the Deadpool star has completely changed the dynamic of the previously struggling club. Recently, Reynolds showed his support for Wrexham goalkeeper Mark Howard after a massive blunder cost his side two points.
The event came from Wrexham’s recent encounter in a National League match against Maidenhead United. With Wrexham leading 2-1 in the dying minutes of the game, Howard – who was filling in for first-choice keeper Rob Lainton, who had fallen ill – hesitated slightly.

This allowed Maidenhead to score and end the match in a draw. This was certainly a heavy blow for Wrexham, who are now only one point ahead of Notts County in the race for the league title and promotion to the fourth division.
Ryan Reynolds’ word of support for Mark Howard
Reynolds took to his Instagram story to show his support for Howard after the game. Reynolds shared a photo of Howard with the caption, “WE WIN TOGETHER, WE DRAW TOGETHER. MARK HOWARD HAS PUT IN THE WORK THIS SEASON”. This is a heartwarming gesture from Reynolds as he showed his support for the 36-year-old keeper.
