“It’s a dream of mine,” said Antoine Griezmann, when asked about a potential move to the MLS. Surprisingly, this candid revelation came when he was asked about Lionel Messi’s transfer to Inter Miami. Fast forward to today, the Frenchman seems to be dropping hints about his eagerness to play in the US. This time, Griezmann made it evident as he posted Messi on his Instagram, leaving the soccer fraternity berserk.

Captioned, “Hobby Office 🔥,” Griezmann shared a candid click of himself using his phone while a collection of various packs of trading cards was seen on the table. But what caught the eye of many was one of MLS memorabilia, prominently featuring Messi donning the Inter Miami kit and was positioned at the forefront of a pack of trading cards. Even though many are aware of the World Cup winner’s mania for games and trump cards, is Greizmann subtly indicating his obsession with the MLS through this click? After all, it’s not the first time he has done so.

There have been reports earlier that Griezmann remains a primary target for several MLS clubs, with Inter Miami among those vying for his signature. The French star asserted that not only Atletico Madrid will be his ‘last‘ European club, but claimed that he would ‘like to try MLS later’ in his career. Under contract with the Los Rojiblancos for another 2 years, the striker once told L’Equipe, “I still don’t know if it will be Miami or Los Angeles. They are two great cities,” while praising the culture of the US. 

The cherry on top is the fact that the 32-year-old recently met David Beckham. So does this indicate a potential meet for a move to Inter Miami? Well, the fans seem to be loving this idea!

Since childhood, Griezmann has been a fan of David Beckham. Not only was he inspired by DB7 to wear a long-sleeved jersey, but he also considers him his role model. Echoing similar thoughts, another wrote, “Inter Miami? I know you’re a fan of Beckham 😍.”

While Griezmann has yet to make his move to the US, his former Atletico teammate Hector Herrera has already made the transition by joining the Houston Dynamo. When asked about the possibility of the French star joining him on the same team, Herrera deemed it “practically impossible.” However, the veteran did not entirely dismiss the idea, suggesting that Griezmann might have several options available, one of which, this fan knows: “In the future, he will go to Inter Miami.”
