Laporta added that he is confident that the club will be acquitted of the accusations. He also said that the money was paid to referees for their technical services and not to fix matches and win games. Additionally, the Barca chief stated their willingness to provide evidence of their innocence in the Negreira case. However, he adds that Real Madrid is taking more time to show their proof and extending the case.
