Pep Guardiola alerts Mauricio Pochetinno with a Haaland update

Chelsea has had a shaky start to their Premier League campaign. Erling Haaland’s injury surely gave a big boost to the Blues, although a new update suggests that the Norwegian’s injury cushion won’t be a reason enough for Mauricio Pochettino to take down his guard.

It was a shock for everyone to see Haaland start after he was subbed off at halftime in their tie against Bournemouth. Guardiola then confirmed that’s what Haaland wanted. Just hours ago, the Spaniard reasons why he started Haaland in the Champions League. He quoted, “Yesterday, I saw the training session, how he moved. And he feels good so I said okay. He felt good so okay he’s going to play. Now take a rest for Sunday.”

From the looks of it, Guardiola’s remarks make it clear that Haaland would be starting against Chelsea. The Blues defeated Tottenham in their last game, bringing some sort of relief. Coming up, Pep and his men will find a few friendly faces on the opposition’s end but in no way would reduce the fierceness of the battle. Nevertheless, the fans expect a thrilling tie as both City and Chelsea have an extremely difficult run of fixtures.

On the other hand, Erling Haaland paid homage as he kept his word after making a promise to Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba at the Ballon d’Or ceremony. Although, he snubbed Premier League icon, Gary Lineker in the process.
