Aside from being remembered as one of the notable players in soccer, Gerard Pique is quite an ingenious businessman. The Spaniard has come a long way from owning two clubs to starting his own sports event management company.

Today, he stands with a net worth of over $80 million, and it continues to grow even more. In fact, the 36-year-old recently enjoyed major success with his latest venture, the King’s League. The former Barcelona man launched his own league back in December 2022.

The league was recently concluded on a strong note as Pique held the final match of the league at his ex-club’s stadium. The former Spanish international earned millions from the league, thus growing his financial empire. It will soon return with a bang. However, it seems the latter has some solid plans for another project.

Gerard Pique reveals future plans for Kings League

It was indeed a successful debut season for the Kings League. The tournament generated huge numbers in terms of fanbase, money, and spectatorship. Hence, seeing such an overwhelming response, Pique is looking to expand his empire with another competition.

Recently, while speaking with Gerard Romero on his podcast, the former defender was asked about his possible view on women’s soccer. “It’s like everything. If you give them more time. But a point has come, which is that we are already getting the upper hand on May 6, the first day begins.”

“We are already in April, that is, we have a month left to do the tests that we are doing today. But the Draft also, and I am seeing a lot of analysts from a lot of clubs, they have told me that they are all present here,” he added.

It seems the former Blaugrana man has hinted at another project that will revolve around women’s soccer. The competition might be named ‘The Queens League.’ However, nothing has been said certainly about the title of the tournament. But with Pique’s words, it’s definite that the player is eyeing another potential competition for women’s soccer. Amid all this, the bitter break-up and public feud he has with ex-partner Shakira is finally moving on to the final phase.

Shakira and the kids set for a permanent departure

While Pique is drawing up plans for his ventures, it seems Shakira is all set to fly to the US with both of their kids. It has been quite a while since the couple parted ways, but both have remained in the headlines following the controversy surrounding their breakup.

That may remain in the media, but Shakira is ready to take both her kids away from their father. The Colombian singer won legal custody of her children last December. Hence, she doesn’t wish to extend her stay in Spain any further. She’ll reportedly relocate to her $14 million mansion situated in Miami.

But of course, Pique can visit his kids anytime, and both of them will mutually cover the trip expenses. However, Shakira gave one condition to Pique if he wished to meet with the kids, as she has forbidden his girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, to meet with Milan and Shasha.
