“Women Don’t Cry Anymore…” – Shakira Takes a Nasty Swipe at Ex-Boyfriend Gerard Pique Through Blunt Song in DJ Bizarrap’s Music Sessions

Shakira has recently been in the public eye. The Colombian singer has always been very vocal on social media. Shakira has never shied away from speaking about sensitive topics, including her breakup with Spanish soccer star, Gerard Pique. The celebrity couple shocked the world after they announced their breakup. Since then, fans have been even more supportive of Shakira.

In a recent music session, Shakira directly fired shots at Gerard Pique. However, the Colombian singer did not hold back even a tad bit. That particular music session has now gone viral on social media.

What did Shakira say about Gerard Pique?

Just hours ago, Bizarrap released a music session video with Shakira on his YouTube channel. However, fans didn’t quite know what to expect from this collaboration. For the simple reason being Shakira never rapped. Hence, fans couldn’t understand how Shakira would get along with the Argentine record producer.

But the Colombian singer stunned her fans. Shakira sang a few hard-hitting words in Spanish. According to Billboard.com, the lyrics translate to, “A wolf like me doesn’t have time for novices like you. I was too much for you, that’s why you’re now with someone more like yourself.”

She continued, “You left me the in-laws as my neighbors, media outlets at my door and in debt with the Treasury. You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger. Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.”

She used the music session as a therapy platform for herself. She sang about her personal life and inner struggles. On 2 January, Shakira posted a heartfelt tweet on Twitter. The Colombian singer was again venting out about her struggles. She posted, “When faced with contempt, continue to know your worth. Because there are more good people than indecent ones. More people with empathy than indifference.”

Shakira has also been vocal about public matters. In December, She offered her help and support to a soccer player who was facing a death sentence.

While every soccer fan had their eyes on the FIFA World Cup final, Shakira reminded the soccer universe of a player who was in prison. She spoke about Amir Nasr Azadani, an Iranian soccer player. Amir Nasr was arrested for simply protesting over women’s rights in Iran. However, authorities immediately arrested the soccer star.

The Colombian star urged her fans to keep a minute of silence and think about Amir Nasr. However, the situation did not get any better. A few days ago, the Iranian courts’ sentenced Amir Nasr to 16 sixteen years in prison. The authorities accused Amir Nasr of ‘partaking in enmity against God’. However, the judgment can be re-appealed as this was just a preliminary one.

Shakira has always received a lot of love from her fans. This is simply because the Colombian singer does not put on a mask for the outside world. She is her true self with the family and her fans as well.
