Excellent would be an understatement to describe Wrexham’s transfer policy. Thanks to intelligent transfers, the Welsh club is now housing a rock-solid defense, at least on the books. It goes from former Charlton ace defensive mid-George Dobson’s signing to goalie Arthur Okonkwo’s permanent switch from Arsenal. Meanwhile, the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side has also poached elite youngsters from the youth teams of Aston Villa and Leicester City. Now, Phil Parkinson is vying to target another Premier League prodigy, adding a Tottenham youth striker to their radar.
The X page English 3rd Tier, and a few other sources close to Wrexham confirm that the club is interested in signing 19-year-old English striker Will Lankshear on a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur. Rumors also have it that Phil Parkinson wants the Spurs prodigy before Wrexham faces Chelsea in their pre-season US tour. Still a teenager, Lankshear has a world-class resume that makes him a red-hot prospect in the transfer market. He scored an impressive 21 goals in the last Premier League 2 season and won the player of the tournament award.

Lankshear is also a vital member of the England U-19 squad after scoring in his debut in November 2023. He has been named to Tottenham’s senior squad since late 2022. But he has never had a chance to get a senior cap till now. Considering his heroics last season, Ange Postecoglou might give him a feature this season. But the Spurs coach can also opt to loan him out to a lower-tier club like Wrexham to polish his game.
How is Wrexham managing to spark up so much activity in the transfer market? Well, the credit goes to its Hollywood owner’s revenue-generating skills and their comical contract offers that could turn anyone’s head.

The Red Dragons’ recently signed goalkeeper Callum Burton’s contract included three hilarious conditions. These are: he must agree Deadpool would beat Wolverine in a fight, salaries will be paid via Mouse pay, and he must be available as a backup dancer for the Declan Swans. The Declan Swans, notably, is the band that created the song ‘It’s Always Sunny in Wrexham.’ Though it might appear a little extra, these shrewd ideas prove Wrexham can provide a home away from home for any player who wishes to join the EFL League One side.
