Last night’s 2-2 draw between Inter Miami and the Colorado Rapids made headlines beyond the score line. An interesting incident saw a young girl invade the pitch in the middle of the match to fulfill her lifelong dream of greeting Lionel Messi and snapping a selfie with the soccer icon. While many assumed it was a routine pitch invasion, the girl has since come forward to shed light on the audacious escapade, revealing how she cleverly waited for the ‘right moment’ to get past Messi’s bodyguard.

Antonella Siegert took to her Instagram account, named ‘@antonella.soccer,’ to showcase her POV of breaching the Chase Stadium’s security as well as the eagle eyes of Yassine Cheuko, La Pulga’s guard, to meet her idol. She also wrote quite a lengthy caption, acknowledging it as the ‘best day’ of her life.

Siegert then opened up on the ‘impossible‘ challenges, revealing she traveled from quite far to live the moment. “The stands we had were super high to be able to get to the field was going to be impossible because you had to jump about 4 meters. So we moved to the bar and I waited for the right moment and just ran and ran with all my strength and I could reach him, those seconds where I hugged him were the best seconds of my life,” she wrote.
