JJ Watt’s recent revelation has shocked everyone. The NFL star has expressed his former love for Chelsea FC. In fact, he revealed who made him fall for the club. “I was a big, big Didier Drogba fan from his Ivory Coast days so I followed along with Chelsea. I do not hide it and I am sure people are going to send photos of me holding up a Chelsea kit,” said Watt, while speaking to talkSPORT. He also revealed that fans may lash out at him for holding other clubs’ jerseys, hoping that it doesn’t come back to haunt him.

“They can also show photos of me holding up a Manchester City kit because Sergio Aguero is my friend or a Tottenham Hotspur kit because Harry Kane is my friend.” However, the player admitted he is fine with it and it won’t bother him much. “These things are going to be out there and that is fine but the reality is that Burnley is the right club for us because there is an opportunity to come in and make a difference.”

It’s amusing to hear Watt is a huge Chelsea fan, and that too because of Drogba. Indeed, past love definitely comes with surprises. However, that won’t stop him from showering his love on Burnley, as he recently took part in the title celebrations.
