The Kansas City Chiefs have done it again. For the third time in five years, they won the 2024 Super Bowl by clinching a 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers. As the NFL world basks in the sunshine of the LVIII celebrations, the fever has spread beyond American football. Soccer stars including Neymar Jr., Antoine Griezmann, and others have joined the avalanche of admiration for the ‘legend‘ Patrick Mahomes. 

The Chiefs writing their names in the history books by defending their title has left the sporting world in disbelief. Speaking for Neymar, the Brazilian superstar took to his Instagram and shared a picture of Mahomes posted by the NFL on his story. The injured Al Hilal star also wrote a caption saying, “Legend [clapping-hand emoji].” Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid’s Griezmann posted a picture of Mahomes lying on the pitch at full-time with his hands on his head and closing his eyes in disbelief on X. That wasn’t all!

The French soccer star added one adoring and one heart gesture emoji. He also posted the same picture on Instagram with a goat emoji. Additionally, Mahomes posted a picture of him lifting the Super Bowl trophy with his side and wrote a caption saying, “Never a doubt.” This caught the eye of Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr., who succinctly commented on the post with a goat emoji. Interestingly, from female soccer, USWNT legend Carli Lloyd tweeted, “Never a doubt Patrick Mahomes. You are built different!! [Goat emoji].” Speaking of the American ladies, Alex Morgan is in the headlines as well. 

Once again, as many in the NFL world are touting the LVIII Super Bowl as scripted, the San Diego Waves star gave her opinion.

Alex Morgan came to watch the Chiefs vs. the 49ers in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. She posted a picture of herself attending the final match and wrote a caption saying, “Scripted or not, that was fun.” A subtle dig but it looks like the USWNT superstar enjoyed the enthralling match. In fact, she experienced it in a better way.

She witnessed the action firsthand from Allegiant Stadium’s premium lounge suite, which boasts a value estimated to range between $1.8 and $2.5 million! The suite features 12 seats, as well as bar stools and lounge chairs. Taylor Swift, who is a close friend of Morgan and also Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, was an obvious attendee for the match as well.
