Having a better social media following is equivalent to the normal in today’s world. But what if someone is disappointed in the popularity of social media? Swiss soccer star who has trumped tennis legend and fellow countryman Roger Federer on Instagram for followers isn’t happy despite having more followers.

Current Swiss women’s international Alisha Lehmann, who boasts over 11.6 million Instagram followers, wants them to watch her play soccer too. She thinks fans are following her more on social media than on the field and wants to change that. The blonde beauty who boasts more Instagram followers than Federer thinks fans don’t know how she actually plays soccer. They are busy looking at her social media profile and posts only. It is disappointing as a player who trains a lot before playing a game, and fans ignore seeing her taking the field.

“I’m always saying, ‘Watch a game please’ — and then they’re surprised,” said the 24-year-old, urging fans to watch her play soccer on the field. She also spoke of the feminine side and playing soccer together. The WSL starlet thinks you can be however you want and play soccer.

Lehmann said while speaking on showing her feminine side while playing, “Use make-up or do the things you like, do your nails, do your eyelashes, and still play football. It’s not a side you have to pick. It’s really important that no one changes because people tell you to. When I was younger, a lot of people told me, ‘Oh, you can’t wear make-up. You can’t wear your lashes when you play’.”

“At one point I thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s normal, and it doesn’t hurt anyone if I do it. I feel like we should see this as normal. Because I’m someone that likes it a lot. I want to look really feminine. It’s my passion,” Aston Villa forward added further.
