Since Alex Ferguson left the soccer club, they have been shouting for a manager of real class and quality. In comes Erik Ten Hag, from Ajax, with a wealth of experience and tactical prowess. The results spoke for themselves as United is slowly returning to becoming a winning machine. Moreover, fans are excited at the rapid progress as one of their biggest fans and Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt, is happy with the club’s situation. 

United fans endured various problems with their club after producing underwhelming results and low-grade recruitment for several years. Now, they are attracting sensational players and looking like their old selves. Thus, in an interview with ITV, Bolt explained the changing mentality prevalent at the club and happy Ten Hag turned the club’s fortunes around.

Return to Champions League soccer is their vital target as the prestigious competition improves the club’s reputation, as well as provides financial boosting. Significantly, Bolt pointed out the goals for the club and how he is confident of Ten Hag being the right man for the team. He said, “We will need the top four. That’s where we wanna be. Ten Hag has really changed the whole focus of the club and we are now back to winning ways. I’m just happy that the team is on their way up again and the glory days are coming back.”

For years they failed at the last hurdle, but goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford helped the club to win the match against Newcastle United. With one of the short-term goals out of the bag, challenging for trophies would be necessary for United’s DNA.

Bolt points out United’s two key players

Bolt continued, “For me, it’s Rashy and Casemiro. Those two impressed me. In every game, they come out they are in top form. Very focused. So for me, those two are the players that stand out.” It makes sense because both these players are instrumental to United in the future.

Casemiro arrived from Real Madrid this summer and completely transformed the club. He averages 2.9 tackles and makes 1.3 interceptions to help the club move forward by providing concrete defensive cover to Varane and Martinez. As for Rashford, he looks reinvigorated after several years of mediocrity. The English forward scored 26 goals and created nine assists in all competitions this season.
