Netherlands national football team manager Louis van Gaal is one such manager who tried to take Manchester United back to the top of European Football. Ahead of Netherlands? international friendly against Germany, Van Gaal made a major statement.

He suggested that Erik ten Hag join a football club. In doing so, van Gaal also took a dig at his previous employers by calling Manchester United a ?commercial club.?

Erik ten Hag has been the manager of Ajax for several years. Having signed with the Dutch side back in 2017, one of his major accomplishments during his time in Amsterdam so far is taking the Dutch side to the UEFA Champions League Semi-finals in the 2018-19 campaign.

Ajax defeated European giants like Real Madrid and Juventus. But interestingly, they lost in the semi-finals to Mauricio Pochettino?s Tottenham Hotspur.
