FC Bayern Munich is one of the best clubs in the world, known for its incredible business in the transfer market. They reached the peak of club football in 2020 when they won the UEFA Champions League after beating PSG in the final. However, after a relatively moderate season in Europe last year, they aim to bounce back.

One of the biggest wins in FC Bayern’s dominance came against FC Barcelona in the Champions League. They were facing Barca in a one-legged tie (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and they absolutely battered the Spanish club. The final score was 8-2, and it was one of the darkest days in FC Barcelona’s history. However, if reports are to be believed, the German club now wants to inflict some more damage on the Spanish giants.

FC Bayern might try to sign Pedri and quadruple his wages

Reports state that Bayern might be interested in signing Barca’s young superstar, Pedri. According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich will quadruple Pedri’s wages and want to sign him in a club-record deal next year. Pedri is still only 18 and recently won the Golden Boy award for being the best young player in Europe.

His performances were even more impressive in the UEFA Euros 2021, where he was a part of the official team of the tournament and won the best young player award. Moreover, he has a One-Billion-Euro release clause and any approach from FC Bayern would involve a huge amount of money.

How can Bayern Munich sign the FC Barcelona star?

It would seem highly unlikely that Barca would let their young superstar leave like that. With the amount of time he has on his contract (lasting until 2026), it seems impossible that Bayern would get their hands on him. However, if a situation arises where Pedri would want out of FC Barcelona, then a million-dollar deal is inevitable.

Additionally, the Spanish club is still struggling with constant financial woes and if a huge offer for Pedri arises, they won’t be able to ignore it. It’ll be interesting to see if this move actually takes place, because if it does, FC Bayern would have one of the best young players in the world at their disposal.
