Chelsea FC has been in a lot of trouble ever since the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out. Their former owner, Roman Abramovich, was sanctioned by the UK government, and the club was caught in the crossfire. However, things might get better for the club now.

The Ricketts family were heading the bid for a formal takeover of the club, but there was a lot of backlash from the club’s fans. Things have now progressed from that point as the owners of the Chicago Cubs have got two more American Billionaires backing them.

Ken Griffin joined the Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert in setting up a bid to help acquire Chelsea. The two of them are among the most influential people in the world of finance, and along with the Ricketts family, have a combined net worth of over $50 billion dollars.

We will approach the bid for Chelsea with the same philosophy as we operate our other professional sports teams: an open mind and a listening ear to the fanbase, ample investment and an unwavering commitment to both winning on the pitch and serving the community,” he added.
