Chelsea Manager Breaks Silence on Uncertain Future After Roman Abramovich Exit: “Hope Things Will End Well”

The ongoing crisis in Europe continues to affect all walks of life. Football hasn’t gone untouched either as Chelsea FC have been the one of the clubs most affected, losing their club owner, Roman Abramovich, in the process.

Abramovich first bought Chelsea almost 2 decades ago and brought it up to become one of the best clubs in the world. He won several big trophies, but following pressure from the UK government, he decided to sell the club.

Thomas Tuchel hopes to stay at the club for a long time

This will have several ramifications at Chelsea, as club Director Marina Granovskaia might also follow Roman Abramovich out the door, and several others could do the same. However, will Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel leave too?

If his press conference is anything to go by, then certainly not. The German manager revealed that he loves to work in England and that London is an amazing place to be in. Moreover, Chelsea is the perfect fit for the manager and he hopes that his tenure with the club continues for a long time.

I said many times that I love working in Premier League, I love to be in England and feel the tradition and the love for sports in general and for football in particular. It’s an amazing place to be. Chelsea is.. for me, a perfect fit. I love to be here, I love everything about the club and hopefully, it continues,” Tuchel said.

Tuchel is positive about staying at Chelsea

He also spoke about the uncertainty surrounding his future and revealed that he has gotten used to it after being a manager for several years. Tuchel added that he is positive that things will be alright in the end.

There is uncertainty, but isn’t there always as a football manager? I’m used to…. on different levels. This is quite the level, I have to be honest, but I am positive and hope things will end well,” Tuchel concluded.
