Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time and is still playing at the top level at 37. The Portuguese forward is currently playing for Manchester United and has proven his class for the club in the UEFA Champions League.

However, things have gone wrong for the club in the Premier League. United are currently sitting in fifth place, a point behind Arsenal after playing three more games than the North London club. If things continue like this, there’s no way that United make the top four in the league this season.

As a result, their chances of playing in the UCL are very slim. If they fail to make the top four, the only way they can participate in the biggest cup competition is if they win it this season.

Ralf Rangnick hasn’t asked Cristiano Ronaldo if he’s happy

Missing the UCL would be disastrous for Ronaldo as the forward has played in the competition ever since his professional career began. Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, is aware of this problem and has routinely talked about United’s future next season.

In an interview before the club’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, Rangnick revealed something that wouldn’t sound like good news for United fans. He was asked if Ronaldo was happy at United, and he replied that he never asked the Portuguese forward if he was.

“I don’t know, I’ve not asked him if he’s happy. For me it’s important that he’s fit again,” Rangnick revealed.

Rangnick wasn’t aware of Ronaldo’s trip to Portugal

However, the revelations didn’t stop there, as the German manager also revealed that he didn’t know about Ronaldo’s trip to Portugal. The Portuguese forward was injured and ruled out for the match against Manchester City, and hence, he traveled back to his home in Portugal instead of watching the match with his teammates.

No, because it doesn’t make sense to look back on what was happening in the last six or seven days. For me, it’s important what is happening today and tomorrow. For me, it doesn’t make sense at all to go through all this again,” Rangnick added.
