The end of a footballer’s career is always obvious. There’s a sharp decline in a player’s abilities and his output begins to decrease. It usually starts happening when the player goes beyond the age of 35, but there are a few exceptions, Cristiano Ronaldo being one of them.

The Portuguese forward decided to make the switch to Manchester United last summer and has been one of the club’s best players this season. His age has now just become a talking point, as his performances at 37 are still noteworthy.

Ronaldo had a good month in March and had several great performances. His best performance was in United’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur. Ronaldo sealed the win with a hat trick, including a sumptuous strike from almost 25 yards away from the goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo wins the Player of the Month award

That spectacular goal won him the Premier League Goal of the Month award, and Manchester United’s Goal of the Month award too. Moreover, he also won United’s Player of the Month award, but that’s not a big deal for the Portuguese forward.

He posted a photo of himself on Instagram with the awards and thanked his fans in the caption. Ronaldo also asked his teammates to fight till the end of the season and wants to go for more.

Individual achievements are always welcome, but they’re worth so much more when they are connected to collective wins. There are still many things to fight for until the end of the season and we can never quit on achieving the goals that remain possible and within our reach. Let’s go for more,” Ronaldo wrote.

Ronaldo’s numbers for Manchester United

Ronaldo ended his Champions League campaign with six goals in seven UCL games. He couldn’t help United beat Atletico Madrid in their Round-of-16 tie, and United have another disappointing campaign on their hands.

His numbers in the Premier League have been slightly underwhelming, as Ronaldo has 12 goals and 3 assists in 24 matches. However, there’s still some time left for the Portuguese forward to score a few more goals.
