Manchester United have sunk to an all-time low after they lost 4-1 to Watford in the Premier League. The match was highly dramatic; from David de Gea saving a penalty in the first half, to Harry Maguire being sent off in the 69th minute. However, it was eventually yet another shambolic display from United and surely, Cristiano Ronaldo won’t take this lightly anymore.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team looked devoid of ideas as the midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic were outclassed by an energetic Watford team. Donny van de Beek got a goal for his side, but that was it, sadly.

Emmanuel Dennis mocks Cristiano Ronaldo with his celebration

The icing on the cake for Hornets in the stands were the two goals Watford scored in stoppage time. Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis scored in the 92nd and 96th minute respectively to make it one of the worst defeats for Manchester United’s season.

However, amidst this chaos and anguish, what made the headlines was an iconic celebration. Goal-scorer Emmanuel Dennis did not hold back, replicating Lionel Messi’s iconic shirt celebration, further rubbing the loss in Ronaldo’s face.

De Gea and van de Beek were the only two players deserving of praise, as even Ronaldo had an awful showing in front of the goal. To no surprise, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the players were booed after full-time, when they went to applaud the away fans in the stadium.

Is this it?

United fans have been calling for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking for a while now, and this latest result will only further add to their agitation. However, the Manchester United board has refused to act for a while, even though the Reds have only one win of their last seven Premier League matches.

The result leaves them in seventh place in the Premier League table, and they can drop lower by the end of the match week. It’ll be a miracle if Ole is still at the wheel tomorrow and if he is, a riot from fans can be expected.
