FC Barcelona was once the greatest club in the world with the best players in their team. While those days have long gone, the club is clawing its way back to the top.

The period between 2016 to 2021 was a very dark time for the club as they struggled with financial ruin and a lack of success in Europe. It all came crashing down when the club dropped down to the Europa League this season and had to sack their manager, Ronald Koeman.

However, things have started to look up with the arrival of former club legend, Xavi, in the managerial seat. The club recently got the biggest win of their season by beating Real Madrid in the El Clasico by a score of 4-0. Nevertheless, the win shouldn’t mask the fact that the club is in desperate need of new signings.

FC Barcelona target four new players for the summer

The club is targeting new defenders for next season, with Chelsea duo Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta on their radar. They also want to replace their right-back, Sergino Dest, with Ajax star, Noussair Mazraoui. Moreover, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, the club has already signed AC Milan man, Franck Kessie.

One point in common with all four players is the fact that all of them have just three months left on their contract. Barca won’t have to spend a single penny to sign all four stars, and will save a lot of money while adding a few great players on their books.
