Thus, the foreign players in Ukraine and Russia might now play for new clubs as they will be considered “out of contract” until 30th June 2022. Also, they won’t be facing any consequences for this move, as mentioned by FIFA.

A few days back, UEFA and FIFA released a joint statement announcing that the Russian national football team and the Russian football clubs won’t be allowed to take part in UEFA and FIFA competitions until further notice.

Following this announcement, it looks like the Russian national football team will not make it to the FIFA World Cup 2022. They were scheduled to face the Poland National Football Team in a play-off clash. But as the situation stands, Robert Lewandowski & co. might get a bye to the next round.

Who are the players to watch out for after FIFA opened this one-month special transfer window?

This special transfer window can be a big boost not only for the players but also for several top European clubs. This is because there are several talented players in this transfer list that have played at the highest level.

Here is a list of the names that the top clubs might have an eye on. First up on this list is Shakhtar Donetsk superstar Tete. Tete scored 9 goals in 17 games this season in the Russian Premier League and also played a part in this year’s Champions League.

His teammate and former Ajax sensation David Neres is another star name on this list. During his time in Ajax, several individuals rated Neres highly.

However, Ajax recently sold Neres to Shakhtar during the latest transfer window. But if given the opportunity, they might be more than happy to bring back Neres for the rest of this season.
