The USMNT have a very young squad with several superstars. In many ways, this is the golden generation of American footballers, and USMNT captain Christian Pulisic is leading the charge. However, new Premier League star Brenden Aaronson could be next.

The 21-year-old forward played for RB Salzburg in the Austrian league for two years and impressed clubs in Europe with his performances. However, it was Leeds United who finally ended up getting him as they signed Aaronson for around $35 million.

Leeds manager Jesse Marsch did have a hand to play in that, as Aaronson had played under Marsch before in the MLS.

Aaronson’s performance for the USMNT

Shortly after his transfer was finished, Aaronson was already in the headlines as fans speculated the kind of impact the youngster can have for Leeds. He answered that question with his performance for the USMNT in the team’s friendly against Morocco.

Aaronson scored a goal in the first half and almost got a beautiful assist as he dazzled everyone with his skill and panache. His vision is on another level, and he can link up well with a striker when he’s playing in the number 10 role, something Marsch will keep an eye on.
