Karim Benzema Joins Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in This Rare Record After Recent UCL Glory

Not every football player gets the chance to play in a UEFA Champions League Final. But Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are special individuals. Not just did they play in a UEFA Champions League final, they also scored and won it multiple times.

But there is something common to their UCL achievements that you might not be aware of. These three individuals achieved something that most UCL winners have not achieved so far in their careers.

Following Real Madrid’s recent UCL glory, Benzema joined the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the list of players who have won the UCL final in their own country.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the UCL trophy with Real Madrid in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2014. And in 2017, Gareth Bale won the UCL trophy with Madrid in Wales. And a few days ago, Karim Benzema got his hands on the UCL trophy after Madrid defeated Liverpool in the final that took place in France.

Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have enjoyed a lot of success together playing for Real Madrid. All three of them have won five UEFA Champions League so far.

Both Benzema and Bale have won them while playing for Real Madrid. But it is slightly different in Cristiano Ronaldo’s case. The Portuguese won his first UEFA Champions League trophy with Manchester United in the 2007-08 campaign. And the rest took place during his time with Real Madrid.

Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are still playing for the Spanish side. But Cristiano Ronaldo is currently playing for the English Premier League giants, Manchester United.

Benzema is certainly enjoying his time in Real Madrid. But Gareth Bale is likely to leave Madrid soon. As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he might not play in the UEFA Champions League next season if he plays for the Red Devils next season.
