Newcastle United fans are now looking forward to better days after the Saudi Arabian-led Public Investment Fund took over the club. As a result, they are now among the richest clubs in the world, and fans eagerly wait for their first transfer window.

According to Marca, Newcastle United’s first signing could be Toni Kroos; he is among the list of five players that the Premier League club wants to sign. However, it will be very hard to lure Kroos away from the pastures of Real Madrid, but with their rich owners, anything is possible.

Toni Kroos and his form for Real Madrid in the past few years.

Kroos has consistently been one of the best midfielders on the planet since 2015 and has been an integral part of Real Madrid’s midfield, alongside Luka Modric and Casemiro. Newcastle United don’t have any stellar midfielders and would benefit a lot from a playmaker like Kroos pulling the strings and finding the gaps.

Despite being 31, Kroos is still at the top of his game. Last season, the German world cup-winner ended his campaign with three goals and ten assists. He has only played five games this season but has finally recovered from an injury and has already scored a goal for Real Madrid as well.

However, signing Toni Kroos won’t solve all of Newcastle United’s problems.
