Pep Guardiola has cemented his name as one of the greatest managers of all time. His exploits with the all-conquering FC Barcelona team of 2009-2011 can never be matched and since then, the Spanish manager has won trophies wherever he has gone.

This hasn’t changed during Pep’s time at Manchester City. City have won the league three times under Pep and are favourites to do it again this season. However, the one trophy that has eluded Guardiola since leaving Barcelona, is the UEFA Champions League trophy.

They got knocked out of the competition by a rampant Real Madrid who have shocked the world this season.

Pep Guardiola doesn’t hold back

Madrid were down on aggregate by two goals in the tie before Rodrygo scored two goals after the 90th minute to take the tie into extra time. A Karim Benzema penalty proved decisive after that as Madrid completed the impossible comeback.

Naturally, Manchester City faced a lot of criticism for having no personality, especially from United legend Patrice Evra. However, Guardiola doesn’t agree with any of that and launched a scathing attack on the former United man in a news conference.

However, he didn’t stop there and went on to say that he completely disagrees with Evra’s statements. He also mentioned the fact that City had scored 22 goals in their last four games, and even had chances to score against Madrid.

We don’t have personality because we concede two goals in two minutes when we had two chances to score and we don’t have personality? After the last four games, we score 22 goals we have incredible personality. I’m sorry but I completely disagree about this,” he added.
