Kylian Mbappe has truly broken through this season and has been one of the best players in the world. His performances have kept improving every single year, and the 23-year-old has become one of the most in-demand players on the planet.

Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint Germain runs out in three months, and as a result, there’s a lot of speculation surrounding his future. Several clubs have been linked with a move, but Real Madrid seems to be the Frenchman’s likely destination.

However, PSG won’t give their best player up this easily.

PSG want to make Mbappe the club captain

The club rejected a humongous $200 million dollar bid from Real Madrid last season in a bid to keep Mbappe. Moreover, they even offered him as much money as he wants for a new contract. This “Blank Cheque” offer hasn’t seemed to work, and the club is now trying other things.

Brazilian defender Marquinhos is PSG’s captain currently, but his performances haven’t been convincing in the past few months. PSG’s capitulation against Real Madrid in the UCL was largely the defence’s fault, and Marquinhos was also to blame.

If I made my decision I would have said so. If I had made the decision, I would have taken responsibility. I don’t have to hide. I just want to make the best decision I can. I’m thinking with my family,” Mbappe said.
