The club rejected a humongous $200 million dollar bid from Real Madrid last season in a bid to keep Mbappe. Moreover, they even offered him as much money as he wants for a new contract. This “Blank Cheque” offer hasn’t seemed to work, and the club is now trying other things.

Brazilian defender Marquinhos is PSG’s captain currently, but his performances haven’t been convincing in the past few months. PSG’s capitulation against Real Madrid in the UCL was largely the defence’s fault, and Marquinhos was also to blame.

“If I made my decision I would have said so. If I had made the decision, I would have taken responsibility. I don’t have to hide. I just want to make the best decision I can. I’m thinking with my family,” Mbappe said.
