According to a few reports from Sport ES, Lewandowski has reportedly told the club that he wants to join them next season. The Catalan club has been in the market for a striker for the past few months, and despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s wonderful performances, needs another center-forward.

They did try to approach Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, but any deal would be crippling the finances of the club. Moreover, the Norwegian superstar could choose to go to some other clubs for more money. As a result, the prospect of signing Lewandowski seems perfect.

The 33-year-old Pole will fit Xavi’s team perfectly. More importantly, the rest of the team will have a genuine superstar to look up to after the departure of Lionel Messi. Lewa is still at the top of his game and can play for at least two to three more years at the highest level.

The addition of Robert Lewandowski will give the team a much-needed focal point, and that can help them to compete for the UEFA Champions League crown next season.
