Lionel Messi sent shockwaves across the world when he joined PSG from his boyhood club Barcelona on a free transfer. Normally, signing the best player in the world would constitute a successful summer for any club but the Parisians didn’t stop there. In addition to signing Messi, the Paris-based club also signed world-class talents in Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi, Euro winner Gigi Donarumma, talented Dutchman Gini Wijnaldum, and Portuguese wonder-kid Nuno Mendes.
The scariest aspect is that they are adding these players to an already world-class roster with players like Neymar, Kylian Mbaape, and Marquinhos to name a few.

Having the best team doesn’t guarantee a Champions league, Ronaldo warns PSG
On paper, it is hard to name a better team than PSG after the addition of Messi. Their transfer strategy has been akin to the Galacticos of Real Madrid. A star of the Galacticos, Brazilian legend Ronaldo recently spoke to AS where he shared his thoughts on who will win the Champions League this season.

“It is still too early to say who will win the Champions League,” he said. “Paris Saint Germain is in pole position, but there are many factors that influence the game. I played for Real Madrid for almost five seasons, in the Galacticos team (with the likes of Zidane, Beckham, and Figo) and I never won the Champions League”. He signed off by sharing a beautiful statement on how dreams and wins cannot be bought. “Winning is never mathematical, even if you have the best on your team. It also applies to PSG.”
