Chelsea have established themselves as one of the top teams in Europe right now. After capturing the UEFA Champions League trophy under manager Thomas Tuchel, the Blues have only gotten stronger with time.

With a team that was practically unbreakable defensively, Tuchel’s Chelsea showed incredible resolve. But things were very different for the Londoners during the initial part of the 2020-21 season. Splashing the cash with big money signings like Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, the roster was loaded. But Lampard’s Chelsea massively struggled especially defensively. With the Blues struggling, the board took a gamble as they sacked a club legend in Lampard and signed Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel feels Chelsea could have given more time to Frank Lampard

Even new manager Thomas Tuchel was shocked by the same. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the German manager said how shocked he was that the Blues were okay to parting ways with Lampard and revealed that he felt that the club could have been more patient.
