Chelsea are in a really tough spot right now with the sanctions placed on them by the UK government. The club aren’t allowed to sign any new players or even extend the contracts of current ones until they find a new owner, and that is taking a while.

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor was the first one to pounce on the opportunity to buy Chelsea. The Irishman revealed that he was preparing a $2.9 billion deal to buy the club, but nothing came to fruition in the end. Currently, the club is yet to find any new owners, as two or three parties are preparing their bids.

However, until they find new owners, they are in danger of losing all of their players.

Antonio Rudiger is leaving Chelsea

The situation is already dire as Chelsea are set to lose center-back, Andreas Christensen, on a free transfer to FC Barcelona. Now, after recent developments, Antonio Rudiger is set to follow him out the door. The club is not allowed to negotiate any deal, and that was the key factor in the German’s departure.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel spoke about Rudiger’s decision to leave and revealed that he had a private conversation with the defender. Tuchel also added that the club couldn’t do anything because of the sanctions placed on them.
