The USMNT has now almost qualified for the World Cup with their 5-1 win over Panama. The match featured a fantastic performance from the country’s captain, Christian Pulisic. The Chelsea FC forward scored a hat trick in the match, including two penalties.

However, that wasn’t the best moment of the game as Pulisic did the “Worm” celebration after his second goal. After the match, Pulisic revealed that he met a fan called Mason Ogle, who asked him to do it. Ogle has been diagnosed with cancer, and yet he continues to play for his high-school football team.

I met someone really special yesterday. His name was Mason, and his one request was that if I scored, he wanted to see a worm celebration. That’s what that was for,” Pulisic revealed.

Christian Pulisic talks about his hat trick for the USMNT

The American star talked about his hat trick after the match and revealed that the job wasn’t done yet. It was his first hat trick for his nation, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. However, “Captain America” is focused on the job at hand and will take the USMNT’s last game against Costa Rica very seriously.

It feels great to get a hat trick, of course, my first one with the national team. Absolutely we can enjoy tonight, but the job’s not done yet. We have one more really important game and we’re taking it very seriously. We need to go in and get the job done,” Pulisic said.
