WATCH: David Beckham Kicks a Ball Around With F1 Driver Charles Leclerc

Some superstars transcend their field and achieve a level of global fame that is out of everyone else’s reach. Former Manchester United and Real Madrid legend David Beckham has done just that. The Englishman currently lives in the USA, and he’s one of the most famous people in the country.

Anything that he does becomes a headline, and his fame has something to do with his time in the MLS with LA Galaxy. Moreover, Beckham is now the owner of MLS Club Inter Miami. The creation of the club began in 2014, and it took six years for the club to play its first match in 2020.

However, Inter Miami is here now, and Beckham would like for his club to succeed.

David Beckham and Charles Leclerc play some football

The Englishman has been seen in Miami a lot and attends several important events in the city. One such event was the inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix. It was the first event of its kind, and Beckham was there to see how it all went down.

However, while he was over there, the former Paris Saint Germain star played some football with F1 driver Charles Leclerc. They were kicking the ball about in Leclerc’s garage before the race. In the end, the driver ended up getting a second-place finish behind Max Verstappen. Although, he still has a 19 point lead in the driver’s championship over Max Verstappen.

Beckham talks about Formula 1 in America

The Englishman spoke about the inaugural race in Florida and showed his excitement for the same. He also said that the Netflix series “Drive to Survive” has been instrumental in getting more American fans interested in F1. Moreover, he also added that he was attending the event purely as a fan of the sport.

It’s amazing to have Formula 1 come to Miami, it’s a sports town, an entertainment town and it’s going to be amazing. The show [Drive to Survive] has done a lot for Formula 1 in the US,” Beckham said.
