Jose Mourinho is now plying his trade in Serie A again, and the Portuguese manager hasn’t shied away from his controversial methods in Italy. Mourinho was particularly incensed after AS Roma drew to Bodo/ Glimt in the group stages of the Europa Conference League.

In an interview after the game, Mourinho got into an altercation with a reporter. The reporter asked him to explain AS Roma’s performance in their home stadium, and Mourinho blamed the referees.

Look, the referee has to explain. But they don’t speak,” the ‘Special One’ said. The reporter asked the manager why the referees were to blame, and Mourinho just asked him if he even watched the game.

Jose Mourinho wanted two penalties

Mourinho then proceeded to have an altercation with the reporter, where he suggested that Roma should have won two penalties today that they didn’t win. He repeatedly asked the reporter for his opinion on the game, but the reporter stayed on the fence. For Mourinho, the referees were culpable for taking away the win from AS Roma.

At this point, the reporter dropped the subject and asked Mourinho about Bodo/Glimt’s performance in the match. “They are a good team, they had good players. They had two shots, and they scored two goals. The result was 2-2. We had two penalties. We had four or five more chances to score,” Mourinho answered.
