The USMNT has grown in leaps and bounds in the past few years, with several stars finding success in Europe. After the likes of Christian Pulisic, Sergino Dest, and Weston McKennie, now, Josh Sargent seems like he’s the next superstar in line for USA.

The young forward moved to Norwich City this season after spending three years with Werder Bremen in Germany. However, the 21-year-old has struggled in the Premier League this season, as he had played 18 games for the relegation-threatened club without scoring a single goal. However, all of that changed this week.

Norwich City fans chant “USA” for their American star

Norwich were in the relegation zone for a long time and the club has struggled a lot this season. Hence, their match against Watford was a must-win for the club. Watford is another club hovering around the relegation zone, and if Norwich could beat them, they’d be out of danger.

Sargent, who had had a torrid time in England till this point, showed up to the party and scored two goals for Norwich. He got his first Premier League goal with a brilliant Scorpion Kick, which almost didn’t go in. However, his second goal left no doubt as Sargent headed in Milot Rashica’s cross to make it 2-0. Watford scored an own goal in the end to make the margin 3-0.
