Major League Soccer is improving in leaps and bounds with big players playing in European leagues wanting to move to America to play there. The latest in a line of huge superstars is perhaps the biggest one of them all, Paris Saint Germain star Neymar Jr.

In a recent podcast, Neymar talked about the possibility of playing in the MLS and revealed that he would love to play in the US for at least a season. He also joked that he would get a vacation of three months because the MLS season is shorter than the one in Europe.

I don’t know. I have some doubts about that. I don’t know if I’ll play in Brazil again. I’d love to play in the U.S., actually. I’d love to play there at least for a season,” Neymar said.

The clubs Neymar Jr can join in the MLS

With his statements, Neymar has more or less confirmed that he is moving to America, but what club will he play for?

There’s one obvious answer to the question, Inter Miami. David Beckham owns a part of the club and has put in a lot of his own money in the club. Moreover, he has been handling the club’s publicity and has been trying to attract high-profile players there.

However, all jokes aside, there is a genuine possibility that Neymar does sign for Inter Miami, given their financial strength and popularity.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber reacts to Neymar’s statements

There might be a slight hindrance in Neymar’s move to the MLS because the MLS commissioner Don Garber wasn’t pleased with the forward’s statements. He revealed that he didn’t want players to retire in MLS.

We don’t need to bring in a big-name player at the end of their career because they decided they want to retire in the MLS. We want our story to be about young players coming here at the earliest stages or in the prime of their career and making our league their league of choice,” Garber said.
