USMNT captain and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is part of a revolution that is gripping football in the USA. While Mexico were the overwhelming heavyweights in North America a few years ago, the USA are now slowly becoming the team to beat.
Pulisic was watching from the sidelines when the USA beat Mexico in the final of the Gold Cup. It was USMNT’s second major cup win over Mexico in 2021, and Pulisic was ecstatic. Speaking to Complex in an interview after his shoe deal with Puma, Pulisic shared his thoughts on the win.

“Honestly, it was just incredible. I mean, how far this team has come. We’ve had different squads in for the Nations League, for the Gold Cup, and no one has backed down from the challenge. And I’m seeing just a fight in this group that it makes me so proud and just very excited for what’s to come,” he answered.
Miles Robinson finally decided the match in the 117th minute as his header was the only goal in a thrilling match. Pulisic revealed that he was watching the match and added that he was jumping on his bed when the goal went in.
