Manchester City’s new signing Jack Grealish is taking well to his new club. The Premier League champions improved their squad with the transfer of Grealish and will now look to win the UEFA Champions League after losing in the final last season to Chelsea.
The signing of Grealish is meant to be the game-changer, and City is also linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane. However, for now, the club’s fans are ecstatic with the signing of Grealish. He gave his first interview as a Manchester City player and talked about why he joined the club.
“I’m over the moon. To be playing for a club like Man City is obviously massive for me personally. It was obviously a difficult few months because I’ve been at Aston Villa my whole life,” Grealish said.

He also revealed the role Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had on his move. He also added the quality of players that City possesses in the squad convinced him to move to the club.
“But when I spoke to the manager here, and you see what type of players they have got here, in the end, it was something that I couldn’t say no to. I’m absolutely delighted to be here,” Grealish concluded.
This transfer broke the record for the most expensive player signed by an English club with a fee of 100 million pounds. Manchester United previously held it with their transfer fee for Paul Pogba. Moreover, it doesn’t seem like it’ll last very long either. Both City and Chelsea are linked with big-money moves for Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku, respectively.

The England star has played 96 games in the Premier League and has scored 15 goals for Aston Villa while assisting 19. These numbers might not seem like much, but Grealish was consistently among the top players for chance creation among the likes of City talisman Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.
