Mitrovic headed home a 90th-minute winner to give Serbia the 2-1 win and a direct spot in the World Cup in Qatar next year. Mitrovic was elated after his goal and celebrated after the match in a very distinct fashion. He came back out in the stadium after the match was over with a Coke bottle in his hand. Waving the Serbian flag above his head, Mitrovic ran the full length of the pitch in his underwear.

Mitrovic might’ve been taking a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo with that Coke can, as the Portuguese forward had a little incident related to Coke during the UEFA Euros 2021.

The entire country is elated after their guaranteed spot in the World Cup, and it will be interesting to see what Serbia can do in the tournament.

We are reaping the rewards of hard work and the belief that we would be able to defy the odds and beat Portugal. We are overjoyed, for our country and the people first and foremost,” Mitrovic added.
