Chelsea UCL Winner Olivier Giroud Moves to AC Milan for Shocking Price

Olivier Giroud has finally left the Premier League after being one of the best strikers in the league for over 9 years. The French forward left Chelsea to join Italian giants AC Milan permanently.
The transfer fee for Giroud is understood to be around €1m (£855,000), with an extra €1m (£855,000) in bonuses subject to a number of appearances and qualification for the Champions League.
This came after he signed a new 1-year deal at Chelsea last summer and the club took up an option to extend it by a further 12 months in June.

His time at the club was the best time of his career as he won the UCL with Chelsea. That was not the extent of Chelsea’s European success as they also won the 2018 UEFA Europa League with Giroud.

However, none of this compares to Giroud’s world cup win with France in 2018 as he started all of the games for the French national team and won the prestigious tournament after some stellar performances from the whole squad.
It seems unlikely that Giroud will start regularly at AC Milan. The Italian club has superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the ranks. They also have young Portuguese wonder kid Rafael Leao and Croatian star Ante Rebic but both of them can play anywhere across the front three.
Milan is looking to build on their second-place finish last season behind city rivals Inter. They finished 12 points behind Inter Milan and are finally back in the UCL. This can be a make-or-break season for the club that has made a lot of moves in the transfer window.

AC Milan lost their talismanic goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who joined PSG on a free transfer this season. They signed French goalkeeper Mike Maignan as his replacement. They then bolstered their midfield by turning Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali’s loan moves into permanent ones.
Brahim Diaz will be in Milano today to undergo his medical as new AC Milan player, contract signed. He joins on 2 years loan [€3m] with buy option [€22m], Real Madrid have a buy-back clause for €27m. 🔴⚫️ #ACMilan
Fodé Ballo-Touré joins AC Milan too from AS Monaco for €4m.

While Giroud is coming in to replace the departing Mario Mandzukic, Milan is also looking to loan Real Madrid youngster Brahim Diaz to bolster their attack. Diaz enjoyed a successful loan spell with Milan last season and will have no problems in joining the Italian side.
