Pippen didn?t just come as an observer during his visit; Luc Longley who trained with the Sydney Kings coaches and players and shared their wisdom and insight accompanied him. Pippen is remembered as much for what he did off the court as on it, emphasizing the need for team play and selflessness.

The NBL?s Financial Dilemma

In a surprising turn of events during the 2022-23 NBL season, the league witnessed an intriguing phenomenon: the three most expensive teams did not qualify for playoffs while the three most inexpensive teams earned places in the top four. This figure shows that there is a high degree of uncertainty and rivalry in the NBL, where having a high budget does not guarantee winning.

On closer examination of the figures, it can be seen that player pay did not always track with team results. Of the NBL?s twenty most-paid players, only four played for the top four teams. This sharp contrast raises questions related to common beliefs that money invested leads to championship contention in professional sports.

Teamwork, skills, and a dash of unpredictable win everywhere in basketball worldwide as well as in NBL.
